My stupid amp seems to have blown again. It's a '79 Acoustic G100-112, basically a 2 channel Mark II clone that got Acoustic sued HARD in 1980 and run out of business. This is the original Acoustic amp company, not the current one. It's been repaired half a diozen times over the last 20 years, always at about 300-400 bucks, and is worth as much as the EVM-12L 300watt speaker in it is worth
I was shopping for an SL1, but now I think I may just get a Mark IV head instead. I've got my trusty 550, and old (but excellent) Ibanez ES-175 clone and a partscaster with a Charvel neck and Carvin singles. So, not really desperate for a playable guitar but nothing overly high end.
Out of curiousity, would you guys get the Mark IV or an SL1 and just play through the PA system for a few months? I'm more than likely going to hit October with both regardless. Which would you do first?
