I have already stated many times that I had an addiction. So I bought this to cure it:
Free The Tone Red Jasper Overdrive.
The Gigs Boson ruined me basically. I was set for a distortion pedal and I was set on another Free The Tone pedal: either an Iron Forest or Quad Arrow. Then I came across this one. It's essentially their take on the Klon so it's the exact opposite of what I was going, but after realising that the GS has enough gain to push to DS1 levels, I jumped on this. And well... it's nothing short of amazing. It's crystal clear and maintains the original amp tone in any setting. The Hi-Cut is extremely handy as it's sensitivity can go from Santana to SRV in a turn.
Yeah, I'm addicted, but these are awesome. This will probably be my last FTT pedal for a while.
Oh by the way, this finally arrived:
Now with the H9 out, I would have probably be better of with one of those, but I specifically chose the Pitchfactor instead. Presets are nice, but I'm a pedal guy at heart and I like all my controls in front of me. Basically I like to get down and dirty and do some tweaking to get some results. And this particular unit has so many nice options that it's more than an effects unit but almost a full instrument in itself.
If this keeps up, I might go full rack mode.
Mm mm mm pedals I have the fever too. Handy fun little things they are.
