A friend of mine just picked up a 1x12 combo and man it sounds incredible. My new favourite amp.:yesway:

I owned a lonestar for a bit.

Great amps.

Killer cleans, incredibly thick and singing lead tones. At the time, I sold it off fairly quickly because I could never find a solid rhythm tone that I liked though (was doing a load of 80's and newer covers, needed something voiced differently for rhythm), but I really wish I still had it. For the trio stuff I'm doing now, I really can't think of a more ideal amplifier.

That Lonestar sounds like shit, that guy playing that Lonestar sounds like shit, and this thread sucks my ass!

IMO, the real appeal of the Lone Star isn't the sound (which is great) so much as the feel. I have NO idea how well the AxeFX captures that, at least at this stage.
