    Guitar Amp -> Bass cab?

    Anyone of you guys try running this before? I had to downsize a bit when I moved but now I wanna just keep it really minimal and buying a cheap 210 bass cab is easier than finding a 210 guitar cab.
    If all else fails, I'll probably got 212 again, but I wanna know what my options are

    It'll sound awful, unless you play doom. And I can't think of many 2x10 guitar cabs. Combos, maybe. But a 10-inch speaker sounds vastly different to a 12-inch speaker, and a bass speaker sounds vastly different to a guitar speaker.

    I used to run a stereo rig with a bass cab and a guitar cab and the big thing with bass cabs is that the ones that don't have hi frequency drivers sound dark as hell and the ones that do sound like plugging a guitar direct to desk with way too wide a frequency response. If 210 cabs are hard to come by, get a 212 or as another option buy a cheap combo with 210 cabinet and take the amp out. Things like old peaveys and such.

    But ideally a 212 or even 112 guitar cab would be ideal.

    Zilla, EarCandy and ToneTubby all seem to make 2x10 cabs. Not sure how much size or weight a 2x10 is going to save you over a 2x12.

    It's not really a size and weight issue, I've just had some experience running a peavey Ultra into a Sunn O))) 2x10 but I have no idea what the hell it was, it just sounded great to me. I'm guessing it might have been a monitor.

    I just can't seem to find what the hell it was and figured since 210s are so common for basses, that it must have been a bass cab. But either way, thanks for the input guys!
