Title sums it up. Picked up my triaxis from repair, every tantalum cap and a resitor later and it's working again. Plug it back into my power amp and g system and try dialing in some sounds and everything sounds fucking awful. It's as though there's a blanket over the cab and there's no high end at all. Then when I throw it into a gain setting, it sounds like a fuzz pedal or an old 60s amp turned up. There's no tight low end like what I got before and absolutely no grind. If I played in a shitty indie band or garage band id be in heaven but this is just painful.
The fact the sound is as shit across every patch and channel leads me to believe the tubes are fine (the lead 1 channels and lead 2/rhythm use different tubes for their sounds) I don't know what to check. I've tried every guitar and even my fucking TELECASTER sounds like cotton wool.
Anyone know where I should look first before sending it back to the shop?
You should go kick your tech right in the nuts.
