My main rig is a Bogner Uberschall with an Uberkab. Great amp. Heavy as hell. But can't crank it at home.
So, I have a handful of practice amps. Was using Line 6 Spider basically since I could get a huge sound at a low volume. Switched to a Blackstar HT5 with a 2x12 loaded with Scumback speakers. Still can't play them very loud.
My issue is that I keep practicing with these amps and thenk, when I play live, have a very different tone.
Is there any way to use the Uberschall for practice? Does it make any sense to use the line out into aa DI box and just wear headphones? Or play it at a (relatively) low volume and just make the neighbors suffer?
You need something like one of these
Cab Clone Guitar Speaker Cabinet Simulator
They'll both allow you to crank your amp and listen to your sound through headphones whilst simulating a cab sound. The Torpedo is a more in depth option for recording and such as well but actually has a model based on the Uberkab. The Cab clone is awesome for a budget option or for something more straight ahead without the bells and whistles.
