    New amp

    I'm searching for a metalamp.
I play modern deathmetal 6 and 7 string. Passive pickups.

So far these amps are on my wishlist.
    Peavey 6505
    Randall Trasher
    Randall Satan
    Engl Savage 120

I like the fact that the Satan has 2 gain controls and 2 channels.

The 6505 is pretty straight forward. Dont like the clean sound.

The Engl has 4 channels, i really dont need it. But awesome sound.

I like to hear your opinions.

Sounds like you answered your own question. Go for the Satan
I'd probably have recommended that or the Savage anyways.

All of those amps will meet your needs. Try them, pick the one you like the best.

Alright, those amps are all amazing.

But the ENGL is way more expensive. Regardless of the price, I would definitely take the ENGL Savage 120 because I really like the tone of that particular amp, it's something else to me, but that's just personal preference.

Randalls are awesome too, I love them, especially the Satan.

    6505 well... It's a classic.

I dont know a lot about the savage, other than a lot of guys like it - I've probably heard one before but didnt know it. If you need a clean I wouldnt go 5150 variant unless its the EVH/Fender ones.

Id probably vote Satan as the one I heard at the GAK clinic last summer sounded awesome, or savage if its something you really are GASing for.

just make sure you dont pick up one with any dings on the tolex :yesyway:

All the amps you listed are good. A friend has a 6505 and that thing fucking rips, with that said, I'm partial to Mesa Boogie.
