This whole eBay thing is getting beyond a joke. I sold a Fender Greta amp to a guy on eBay. It was in prime condition before it left. Hell, due to the headaches I've had before with morons wanting refunds and claiming products were broken when I sent them I started videoing and photographing everything I put up to a ridiculous degree. So this dude contacts me asking for a refund because it won't power on when he received it. He said the packaging was fine, the amp had no physical external damage but won't turn on. I pointed him to this video here
The same video I had posted on the eBay page itself. Showing quite clearly, a working amp. So, he's said it arrived well packaged with no external damage and I showed him the video of it working fine and he STILL wants a refund. I told him it's probably the fuse inside the unit and he said Fender said there wasn't one in there.
Bullshit, it's right here
Fender says it's not user serviceable which is fair enough. Still not my fault it blew. It's a consumable, something that will need replacing at some point in its life and is independent of the overall longevity of the product. SO between proving there's a fuse in there, it worked when it left and it was well packaged and transited in a suitable manner, he still says it's my fault.
I refuse to sell anything on eBay anymore. Paypal will get involved and next thing you know my money will be locked up again for several weeks while I go through the headache of proving it worked, that I did everything in my power to ensure it was well packaged and sent properly and I still may end up with an amp I'll have to try selling yet again. I'm sick of going through this almost once every 3-6 months.
That sucks. Is there no craigslist or similar in the land of OZ?
