Finally got around to putting a little track together with this amp. The mix may be terrible, as I'm getting used to my new set up, but it sounds ok here, so hopefully it sounds ok to you guys, too. The track's pretty throw away, but, whatever. Just wanted to do something with the amp.
This is the guitar straight into channel 2, in Mark IV mode, with the EQ engaged. It's piped into my Palmer PDI-03, which is sending a DI into Cubase, where I'm using two impulses on it. Same sound for both the rhythm and the lead.
Incidentally, I've done like zero mixing or anything to this. I just loaded up EZD2, stuck in Metal Machine, dragged some midi grooves to the project, then went for it with bass and guitar. Added a compressor to the bass and another plug-in, and that's it. It actually sounds pretty ok to me, considering there's like nothing done to any of it. May sound like musical flatulence to everyone else, but sounds good to this dufus!
Sounds good to me, a little too commercial, but at the same time that's kind of a good thing if you're getting used to a new setup.
