I had a bunch of mods done to my JVM last week and today was the first day I got to try it at rehearsal.
What a difference
anyone that has a JVM should definitely think about getting the negative feedback mod, and the plexi mod done. The amp sounded much more "classic Marshall, more open , rounder , bigger and smoother than stock.
To me it sounds much more like a JCM800, my drummer said it sounded more "Van Halen-ish" whatever that means. I also did the OD2-OD1 mod which is only really needed on the 210's or 205's. This switches the EQ of the OD channel to OD 1 which is more classic marshall voiced.
Went with no EQ in the loop , no clean boost ...nada.
Charvel(s) ->JVM ->JCM800 2X12.
need a nice chorus, a Wah and Delay and I'm all set with this rig.
