Trying to slow down on the pedal streak here. So I only bought 1 today:
Earthquaker Devices Bit Commander
Having only a Hummingbird in the fleet, I thought I extended the EQD palette. While the unit is pretty much an analog/synth based, it also operates like an octavia/fuzz and it thrives on single notes, notably on the neck pickup.
It also does exactly what it says, you can dial chiptune sounds out of this. On chords, it sounds like a glorious mess of analog oscillation and on single notes, pick an octave and you can recreate your old favorite 8-bit games music... if you're into that of course. I certainly am. Hell, I was playing most of the Megaman 2 melodies on this thing. I also paired this with the Hummingbird and it's just wonderful. EQD pedals, particularly the quirky ones, really encourage you to try their pedals with each other. I may have to try this with the Rainbow Machine or Arpanoid soon...
They do some neat pedals. I'm really interested in the hummingbird. What do you think if it?
