Think I'm getting close dudes. Lately I've been playing my Rivera through tubes that are well past their prime through two cabs in an enclosed room with concrete floors (I keep the door open so I can step outside to actually play, since I don't use a noise suppressor) facing entirely different directions that make everything sound like a phasey "The Entire World is Exploding" (physical pain unless you go in with gun muffs) mess (my nearest neighbors are a half mile away, they still don't like it). I think with a little tweaking and proper mic'ing I might have my dream tone of "This sounds like bad 80s thrash recorded in a castle dungeon" down cold.
There is something empowering about playing so loud that you can't even tell what you are doing. Any advice on what kind of tapestries I should put on the walls to soak up the noise? Fair maidens being fair maidens? Castles? What will be best for my tone.
