While I'm in the final mixing stages of my upcoming album, I got asked to join a J-Pop cover band as a bassist and musical director for a few months... eh, why not? Originally I was meant to be a guitarist but finding an available bassist who can play all those busy parts proved to be difficult.

Some of the material required an envelope filter, and currently I have a Source Audio Polymod. While it's the best envelope filter I've played IMO, being guitar based, it didn't cut it on the low end. Initially, I was gonna grab the Bass Polymod, but I thought to save some cash and grab something smaller:

MXR Bass Envelope Filter.

The ease of use is refreshing so I can get the sound I want in an instant so this can do the job just fine. The Bass Polymod will probably come eventually though...
