    New Amp Day

Just picked up this Peavey Windsor half stack for a killer deal, I've been looking for a Windsor for the doom project I'm working on. I'm upgrading from a 60 watt Peavey Vypyr. I definitely need to pick up some new tubes for it cuz it sounds like they haven't been changed in years but so far it sounds perfect for what I was going for.

    Nice - happy NAD!
All I can ask is that I suck a little less each time I pick up my guitar...

    Awesome amp. Awesome guitar.

I'm surprised at how doomy these things can sound. Can sound absolutely nasty. Really wouldn't mind getting one eventually.

They sound like a darker JCM 800, without less quality clean tones when gained back.

Still a fantastic amp for a few hundred dollars used. Go ahead and try to upgrade that cab though, the cabs are the only real disappointment to that amp.

I hear nothing but good things about these amps. For the price you can't beat it.
