Hey guys, for the past month or so I've had an issue with my amp when I turn it on, play for a minute then the guitar signal completely cuts out and goes to a loud static wall of white noise, kinda like the sound of an ungrounded cable, like if you pull the cable from the guitar and let it sit on the ground, only much louder.
It does this with all of my guitars and all of my cables, and persists even if I roll down the volume on the guitar or pull the cable out completely. The problem is most prominent in the first few minutes of the amp being on, and more so at higher band practice volume. When it happens I hit the standby and let it rest for a minute, turn it back on, everything is back to normal, play for a few minutes and then it happens again.
All of the tubes are less than a few months old. I've remedied problems on this amp before but never heard anything like this. Could it be a loose connection somewhere in the amp that vibrates when I crank the volume? I'll try to post a video of the issue in a couple days. Any ideas?
Could be a capacitor issue? I know they technically don't warm-up like a tube, but they do heat up as you play.
If you've swapped tubes already, you may need to take it to a tech.
