Guys the whole pedal thing is annoying, I don't know how some of you deal with the 4cm method and huge pedalboards.
So I plugged 2 Boss pedals in my FX-Loop (delay and pitch shift) and the FX-Loop probably has an integrated boost because the amp is louder when the FX-Loop has pedals connected. Boss pedals are buffered so at least the volume is consistent between Off vs Engaged.
Plugged in a TC Electronic Flashback delay in the loop replacing the Boss pedals(to test it) and the volume of the amp is the same as with the Boss pedals.
BUT as soon as I engage it, the amp sound is louder by at least an extra 15%, I searched google for that issue and it seems I'm the only one? Also note that the cables used were 1 foot cables, so don't tell me it's the cable capacitance affecting the volume by 15% when in true bypass?
I guess I could switch the pedal to "buffered" using the internal switch maybe see if it regulates the volume. I couldn't imagine that a "true bypass" could be such an issue, first time I hear a 15% volume increase when engaging a delay pedal as well.
I can't use it! It's ridiculous I play loud enough already and don't need a boost when using the delay... What the heck?
