A buddy of mine has a Behringer Vamp (yeah, I know) he uses for bedroom jamming. The pedal recently crapped out on him, as those flimsy switches tend to do.
The pedal in question is one of these:
Which has a stereo 1/4" cable coming out of it and simply scrolls up and down presets.
Itd be nice if he upgraded his unit all together but that's not in the cards at the moment, but I'd like to at least see him with a more reliable thing since he's gonna be stepping on it.
Cheap two button pedals with solid buttons are a dime a dozen on eBay, but I'd imagine this is slightly different? As far as I recall, most footswitches are latching two position and since this is just "up and down", he'd need the switches to be momentary. Am I correct in this? If so, any recommendations on what to get without breaking the bank would be much appreciated.
I made a thread about building a pedal like this. If you've got a decent drill and minimal soldering experience, it should be a breeze. It cost me less than $20 in total. The most expensive was the pedal enclosure which was like $11.

After nearly 2 years, it's still holding strong.
I never did paint it though
