    NRD: G Major 2, VHT 2/50/2

Found these two items for $750 Canadian which I think is a pretty good deal.

I am in the midst of selling off anything I don't consider a keeper.

Right now the EBMM JP6, Unholy Trinity, 5153 50W plus pedals are keepers everything else is up for sale. I decided that I should use money from gear that I am not in love with or not using and put it towards things I would at least try out. So bass and 7 string are going.... I bought them used and can find it used any time.

Anyways, when starting from scratch with rack type stuff you pretty much have to buy as it comes up. So these two items came first.

If I sell enough stuff I can afford an Fractal AX8 (1800 Canadian includes taxes but not shipping). Sure I can find an ultra for cheaper (1200 ish or less), a Axe II mk1 for more (under 2500). But I think with the AX8 you don't need that pedal board, just an expression pedal so that's also a savings. Plus it is a big jump in price to go to the newest Axe FX to get features I won't need like dual amping or tones with a shit load of effects.

I'd also be interested in trying the Marshall JMP-1, Triaxis, Mesa Studio.

Doubt I'll ever try the Bogner Fish, at the price it goes for you could probably buy a used Ecstasy. CAE 3+ is also probably out of my price range.

A lesser discussed pre amp that I've seen some good vidoes for is the Groove Tubes Trio. Intermediate price but a bit tough to find.

Yeah I missed out on a cheap jmp but it had a broken power switch and it was paired with a marshall power amp.

Definitely keeping my eyes out for one.

one of the axe fx models will obviously tick all the boxes but it it will make the g major redundant

one of the engl pre amps the e530 maybe is also usually cheap enough and sounds great

I hear good things about the e530. There was someone selling one for cheap but they never answered my email.

The g major is expendable. But could also be used with the two other heads that I own.

That a killer Power amp Frank.

Great score, I think the G Major is the same unit Christian Münzner used before he switched to Axe FX. I've also heard the VHT is great (mostly from James in comparison to the Marshall I traded to him )
Nick is right, get the E530, I tried it recently and it rocked.
The above comment may or may not be about Morbid Angel.
