G&L Kiloton Bass - this looks interesting...

Not sure if anyone has seen this, so I thought I'd post. G&L just sent out notice of this bass they're calling the "Kiloton."

So Leo Fender quits Fender, starts Music Man. There, he invents the Stingray bass. He then moves on and starts G&L. Now years later, G&L is coming out with their version of the Stingray? What a tangled web they weave

Well, it does mean you don't have to buy from Sterling Ball to get a MM vibe. Which is nice, if you dislike how he comports himself.

I don't think so, two knobs means passive. Looks like it has the 3 way split/parallel/series switch like on the L-1505 or L-1500 as well. 'Rays are 'Rays because of the pre at the end of the day. Why anyone would buy this over an L-1500 though is just beyond me.

To be fair, EBMM released a P-Bass (sort of).

G&L's first bass was actually a Stingray clone, but with the pickup in the P bass position.

He is a bag of douche.
