    TC electronic flashback X4

Just ordered one of these for $150, which seems like a good deal. Anybody used these? What do you think? Wanted the Strymon Timeline but for $500 less I thought I'd give this a shot. It has a tap tempo and dotted eight notes which is cool.

Have one, and like it loads. I also looked at the Timeline, and passed for the same reasons.

I miss the ability to high-pass the delays like on my old Line6 DL4, but other than that I have no complaints, and it's a much higher fidelity unit, without any of the headroom issues I had with the Line6.

Yeah, I owned a Timeline and Jeffed it in favor of a Flashback X4. Easy to tweak, sounds great, and reasonably priced.

Also, Drew, I'm sure you can do high-pass delays using the Toneprint editor.

Cool. Yeah the tone print and midi are cool. Can you store midi presets on it and then use a midi controller to switch them?

Yes, you can. I don't have the X4 - just the regular one - but it went over so well at cover band practice that all three of us have them now!

You can, but I spent about an hour working on the interface, and then just decided I didn't care THAT much. It wasn't the most intuitive...

Great sounding pedal, though. I kinda want to try it to "reamp" dry recorded tracks in a mix, rather than using ReaDelay, to see how it compares.

Oh, and Sean, to your original question, used that's a very good price, and new that's insane.
