i think you may also be overlooking that marshall cabs are easy to find and are cheap. get one and experiment with speakers rather than other cabs?

I think you may be right here. Sounds like I need to experiment with some speakers and pick up another 1960.

No love for the Bogner Uberkabs, or has noone really messed with them?

If you are going to go the marshall cabinet route, find yourself a JCM800 cab, built alot better then the newer marshall cabs and can be had for cheaper, trick is finding one, but they do pop up on a regular basis.

Uber cabs are great, had one, noodles loved that thing, however you are going to pay an arm and a leg for them. I also much prefer not mixing my speakers, but that is me as I know alot of people love mixing them.

my old guitarist had one and it sounded awesome. if you can try one out i would certainly do it!
