    Road King question

Picked up a Road King (v1) a few months back, and I'm loving it. However, the clean channels seem suuper quiet. I basically have to run them at like 3:00 to keep up with Channel 4 at around 9:00/10:00. And then they start to break up a little. Any advice?

Assign two sets of tubes to the clean channels and one set of tubes to the distorted channels.

I had this exact issue, and I know exactly how to solve it.

    1) Turn the Output and Master volumes all down to zero.
    2) Run your Output up to about 12:00.
    3) Turn up each individual Master volume up to the level you want.

It seems you really need to get the power amp working in order to get a usable level out of the Clean channels to compete with the Drive channels in terms of volume without having to crank the piss out of the Cleans, thus making them crunchy . Granted, this procedure makes adjusting your overall volume a pain in the dick, especially if you're soundchecking and need to basically soundcheck each fucking channel , but the rewards outweigh the pain

This is the gripe I have with my V2, the clean channels are far too quiet compared to the gain ones. Really should have addressed this, as it makes it less of a good live amp than it would have been had they addressed this.

Using Matt's & Leon's tips got me much closer. Still need to spend some more time dialing in my stage volume tones/levels but getting much closer.

I always dialed in a little bit of grit to my clean tone anyway so for me it was never really an issue. That makes me kind of no help here, lol.

I definitely put some grit into Ch2, sounds amazing! Really hoping I can eventually get this all worked out so that Ch1 is crystal clear though.
