So I recently aquired a Digitech death metal distortion pedal. I'm sure most of you have at least heard of it and seen it, so i'm not gonna bother with a pic.
Now, I wasn't even really looking into buying any pedals at the time, and it wouldn't exactly be my first choice for a distortion pedal, but the price was right: a friend of mine just gave it to me because it was fairly old and I guess he didn't really need it anymore.
I had heard sort of mixed reviews for it, but I really find it to be pretty good. Certainly good enough for me since I'm still new to playing and perfect sound isn't necessary for me at the moment. It can sound pretty bad with some settings, especially with the highs turned up, but it still manages to be reasonably versatile and can give out some really good low and mid tones, as well as still being able to produce pretty damn good pinch harmonics, which is exactly what I like.
I'm a complete noob to pedals; this is my first one, but I can safely say that it was well worth the price I got it for.
