Drew, if my Intrepid is anything to go by, they don't put much on there. I can tell if my thumb is wandering out of 'optimum playing position' by feeling it wander off the walnut stringers. Regardless, yours will have a much thicker and more durable coat on it when you're done

A completely subjective discussion of semantics? Awesome!

I normally hate the look of Teles, but I'm surprised at how much better they look with an extra string.

Like I said on ss.org, that one is very classy, I love the vintage look. Very nice!

Check out the thread I posted, Josh - I'm about 90% sure it's bare.

Well, i ran mine through my amp tonight... i'm very impressed. It may not be a totally authentic Tele "spank" but it's just enough for me. It sounded *awesome* going into my F-30, especially on the clean channel with the TS7ovChaos pushing it into creamy, gritty territory. It will definitely find its place on the Organical record in the works.

The stock pickups aren't the greatest, and I suspect that putting something else in there will make a huge difference.

That said, I thought it was impressive just how well it DID hold up under gain, especially that middle position.

I have no complaints about it, really... i'm not a huge single-coil guy to begin with, so having a slightly more "tame" twang is a little more appealing to me. But i thought it had a nice array of tones available in all three positions.
