Since the other Mods derailed my thread in the Mod forum in 2 posts flat...
As you all know, I've got two KXK Sii-7's. My original orange one and the trans black with the maple board I traded for the Death Warrior. I love the maple board and the fact it's a KXK, but I'm just not digging the 27" scale. Should I put it up for a trade, or should I keep it? It is undeniably an awesome guitar, both in terms of build and sound, but I'm really a 25.5" scale guy.
Obviously I'd love another Sii-7 with a maple board, but Dave thinks there's none in a 25.5" scale yet. So I guess the next best thing is either another KXK or a similarly quality custom. Although I guess there's always the 3rd option of trading it for a decent amp head, particularly if someone was willing to swap it for a Dual Rec.
So, should I do it or not?
The guitar in question is on the right
I vastly prefer the feel of 25.5" scale, but there is no denying the awesome rhythm impact of a 27" scale guitar. The wound string sound positively massive.
How long have you had it? It took me about four months to get really comfortable with it. Maybe you should just give it some more time.
