I used one of those foam tipped brushes to spread the oil around evenly, then an old shirt to wipe it down, any old rag will work though

Thanks You are correct, sir. It is indeed 4 pieces. My Jackson COW7 is also a 4 piece, but maybe it's next under the sander. I'm dying to see what a natural COW7 would look like.
