I've always loved alder in my 6s and tbh the alder 7s available don't really appeal to me.
So I decided that this time I'm going to get a Carvin 727/747 as their stock woods are alder+ebony. So I started my search and found a guy on eBay selling it (who turned out to be a member on ss.org). So we talked and struck a deal.
I cannot wait as this guitar is fully loaded (minus pickups) in terms of specs. I think it will satisfy my tone in my head which is a jackson soloist from 1992.
-3 piece maple neck
-blank ebony fretboard
-SS jumbo frets
-black hardware (sperzels+bridge)
-active EQ (with bass + treble knobs)
-coil tapping mini switch
-phase shifting mini switch
-black shadow "Carvin" logo
-molded carvin case
Originally my plan was to get an rg7620 and then get a replacement alder body but then this Carvin gas came up and this guitar came up so I had to get it.
