I am looking to tune my Epiphone ES335 in B standard. I like the low, girthful chords that are possible as a result of this. However, I am worried that the somewhat limited range of the saddles (and the thick strings, which need more compensation) on the Tune-o-Matic bridge will make intonating the guitar impossible. Has anyone here used big-ass strings in a low tuning on a Tune-o-Matic without intonation problems?
Both of my 7s have a TOM bridge, no issues. I haven't tried B on a 6 string TOM though.
