Hey guys. I'v been working on a little project and I thought i'd share with you guys. I'm calling this guitar, the Zebra in America(as in freddy got fingered )
The body came from patrick sims, just a standard rg 7 body with the HH setup. The neck is going to be a Carvin neck through neck I ordered. Adam(Elysian) is going to be doing the work for me on this one. He's going to make the heel to fit the Carvin neck to the aanj body. Hes also mounting the bridge, cutting the headstock(its just a blank paddle now) and installing the tuners.
Neck - 25.5 Blank Ebony & Maple
Body - RG7, Mahogany and Zebrawood top
Bridge - Hipshot, black
Tuners - Sperzel Trim Locks, black
Pickups - BKP's, Painkiller bridge, Miracle Man neck.
Heres a few pics.
First, the body, totally unfinished in this pic.
So I had to design my own headstock, and as much as that rules, its also a bit daunting to come up with a unique design that isnt the same as one taken. I always loved the Parker headstocks, but something was lacking. Then i'v seen the Blackmachine headstocks and loved them, but i didnt care for the flare at the tips going to the point. So i sat down and tryed to come up with a blend of the 2 and this is what i came up with. Its very simple and i practically did nothing, but i think it looks fucking great IMO.
So i applyed that neck to a pic of my zebrawood body, keep in mind i'm not a photoshop guy, this is just a rough mock up. But this is about what the finished product is going to look like. Also keep in mind there are no 7 string parkers for me to use so this pic is just a six string.
Currently the neck should be arriving to Adam at any time, from there, the work starts and in a few months from that, I should be getting a Zebra to come home and live with me.
canīt wait to see this, i love parker and blackmachine headstocks!
