Ok so I'm really getting sick of cleaning the patina off the covers of my PRS SAS. They're McCarty pickups with nickel covers. And it seems in less than 2 months they're all clouded up again after making them nice and shiny.
So should I just give up on trying to keep them clean, and let them forever stay cloudy? Or is there some product out there that can keep the covers clean and shiny for an extended period of time?
Or did I just happen to not get the memo, and they're supposed to look like this after a while?
I can post some pics if you guys want to see what I'm talking about.
Part of the 'appeal' of nickel covers is the aged look, from what I can tell. It'll just happen regardless, and it's up to you whether or not to fight it.
