I decided to do something a bit...well, not sure what the fuck you'd wanna call it because it goes beyond the boundaries of most terms. My Kramer was set up to C# with 11-52's and it sounded gnarly with Invader. Thick, punch and crushing. Then I was thinking about different intervals to use instead of the traditional 5th or 7th. Then I remembered a certain tune, Mastodon's "March of The Fireants" in which the use D standard with a low A - so now you've got an octave. I now had :
and that was still with the 52 So, being the guy that he is, my guitar teacher Eric gave me a .60 to use for the low G# and I think I may still need something thicker Anywho, I took this idea and applied it throughout the entire neck. That's right, full octaves.
Provided my theory and basic logic is correct (since the 10th fret on the G# is an F#, I just did that same thing for each string) it should be correct. It's fucking crazy to do and will probably immediately go back but for now, let the octaves ring.
Yup, decided to say "Fuck that" and put it into C standard with a low G, not sure if I'm gonna go back to C# or maybe even just D standard
