For those of you who do your own fret leveling and crowning...
I just picked up the Stew Mac offset diamond crowning file:
This thing is just a joy to work with! No chatter, and it cuts smoothly in both directions. The only tricky thing is determining which side is narrow/medium, and which is medium/jumbo. But once you do that it's a breeze.
I started re-crowning the frets on my RG1570 last night. I had previously done a level and crown on this guitar, but my standard jumbo file left "school bus" crowns, which I'm not a fan of. This files makes really beautiful fret crowns, and is super easy to control. Can't wait to finish up and play her tonight.
i've got the dual grit guy - it's not to bad. I'm considering grabbing the one you've got there though.
