Popped into the Roseville GC on the way home from a business trip yesterday. Found a mildly abused RG 7421 that looked like it needed some love. I talked them into $150 bucks. Seemed like a good enough deal. It'll be good for a project.
It's got a pretty sweet neck on it with minimal fret wear and not too many of the all too common paint chips. The worst of it is some rusty hardware and white polish that has been rubbed into the fretboard. All the electronics work and it should clean up just fine. Worst case I figured the neck and hardware was easily worth it.
I've got a slab of mahogany in the garage. I might just have to make a new body for it. Or, at the very least, try my hand at a refinish.
No pics, cause I'm lazy and you guys all know what a grimy 7421 looks like.
I love my 7421 - change the pickups and I think you'll be pleased
I have an Evo in the bridge, and an Air Norton in the neck on mine.
