Default NGD: KxK DCii-6 Double Cut (56k don't)

I got this in yesterday, but the weather was crap so I delayed posting pics. This is prototype #2 of the KxK DCii-6 and I'm loving it (though I have two cuts on my finger tips on my left hand right now so admittedly my play time with it has been short so far).

The finish on this is a super dark purple that looks almost black until the light hits it \m/

Specs:
- Mahogany body
- Mahogany set neck
- Blank ebony fingerboard
- TonePros AVT-II bridge
- Suhr Aldrich pups
- 3 way switch
- push/pull Volume and Tone to split the neck and bridge pups
- Trans purple with Eye of Thoth masked on body

On to the pics (don't mind the lint in a couple of them, that's all me and not flaws in the finish )

Incoming Guitars
KxK Sii-7ex - 25.5", ss frets, rosewood/ebony neck, ebony board, limba wings, bubinga top
KxK Sii-7 - 25.5", ss frets, limba neck, ebony board, limba wings, OFR7, gloss white
KxK DCii-6 - 25", ss frets, cocobolo neck & board, limba body, flame koa top

Dude this is an epic 6er, if I could snag one with a 27" scale that would rule! Anyway grats on an awesome guitar bud.

fucking HOT!

that finish is amazing, and i love the headstock too! Not huge on the shape, but its a perfectly legitimate doublecut shape. its hard to make one stick out. I bet it plays like a dream

I just realized you put in a set of aldrich pickups, that's awesome, I bet it has a beastly tone with sustain for days.

I can't get over how clean the masking of the eye is. It looks like the "prototype #2" is done the same way. Rob's obviously got a technique for that, and it's beyond amazing.

Yeah the Eye, logo, and "prototype #2" on the back are all masked off. What really blows my mind is he shot the color, removed the masks, took pics, then remasked it to shoot more color and the lines are STILL perfect Freaking voodoo magic.
