I wish it had a vintage style trem like the EBMM's, I'd love me a vintage tremed 7.

I like the new RGD shapes, and wouldn't mind another Ibby, but I'm seriously sick of basswood. I already have two guitars that are, so I really don't need another. I wonder if there will be any baritones in the mix. I'm not really into anything more than 6 these days.

They fixed the headstock and made it look less chubby!

THAT is how it should have looked from day 1

Tom Anderson Guitarworks

So this year Ibanez addressed how many screaming Ibby fans?

RGA 8, new 7's, S7 with 24, RGA 7....

I cant' see EMG logos on that RGA8 though. Maybe they're the same no-namers?

The question is, how many are actually destined for the US?

That's actually a pretty damned cool lineup from Ibanez - better than I expected when I opened the thread.

Major causes of GAS:

And of course still the white RG1527 with a maple board.

No prestige logo either so it must be a cheaper model too.

If Schecter would step up and make some thinner necks, people wouldn't care. There is definitely more variety in the market now, as compared to three years ago, so Ibanez's stubborn use of basswood is becoming less of an issue.

As for Ibanez, they don't seem to have the same eye for the little details that they used to. It all seems to be about cost-cutting for them nowadays, like they just assume that people will keep buying whatever they put on the market.
