And it's got a new coat on. Long story short, as much as I liked the natural finish on a lot of guitars, this just struck me as being a little too plain in alder, so I had it finished trans red. I actually went for the look of the Ibanez JS100, that while being a cheap guitar, looks really nice IMO.
The only thing that kind of pisses me off is a chip in the finish by the neck joint. I just noticed it after I got home from the shop last night, and I'm not sure if they did it or if the paint shop in California did it.
I don't know what I'm going to do about it; it's really not that big, but at the same time for the money I paid for the guitar and then the paintjob, I'm not exactly thrilled about a less than perfect guitar. It also looks like someone tried to cover it up with a red marker, which also pisses me off.
I don't know guys, tell me if I'm OCDing about it.
It looks pretty good! If someone tried to cover that chip up with marker on my guitar, I'd bitch about it on principle. Are you sure it's marker and not just a spot where only the clear coat chipped off?
