Thumbs up NGD Retry: Jackson Falcon

While intonating the Falcon back when I got it...I noticed the threading on the base plate was screwed (lol) so I disassembled it and it's been sitting in the hall until today when I got the new base plate (thanks again Jacksonplayer your spare parts bin rules).

Anyway since I'm not really sure if I like the Super 3 or not in my Maverick I decided to jack the X2N from my V-250 and put it in here (since I have to drill out the threading to install it directly). I have a push-pull pot but since I didn't know the wiring of the neck pickup I didn't feel like wiring it in so only X2N for now but whatever.

The X2N sounds heavy as crap in this thing but I put 11-49 (compared to 13-59 both drop C) on it so the tension is a little light and needs to be rectified at a later time lol but whatever.

Anyway PICS!! these are better than the ones I took of the Maverick before as well.

Glad it's working out. I can imagine an X2N sounding pretty good in that guitar, and I'm not normally a fan of that pickup.

Wow, I kinda dig the black baseplate under the gold.

I'm a big fan of that type of look, which is why my white Charvel and the Dragonrider both have chrome saddles on a black baseplate

I kinda like the opposite look... black saddles on a chrome or gold base plate.

It does look pretty cool but I do think gold on black is better.

I think the gold on black works really well on that guitar, but I could see black on gold working really well on different finishes.

Jeff, have you thought about mixing up the gold/black on the lock nut and tuning machines?

id swap the fine tuners too, if possible, as well as the nut baseplate and locking nuts (use the gold pads), and do black tuners with gold nuts (black base and washer) and gold buttons, to complete the look
