mainly aimed at anyone who's done a slightly dramatic increase in string gauge and then noticed that their guitar didnt play so nicely anymore.
went from 10-52's (E standard down to Db standard w/ these) to 11-54's (C standard).
and all of a sudden bending is hell, and i think the action went up a bit. I have a hunch that i need to adjust my truss rod.. but im not sure how much.
I have the truss tool for the guitar, i keep it in the case. what adjustments do i need to make?
my G just went from a .17 to a .22. i want a .20 on there pronto! now im pissed lol.
but yeah, until i get a new string to replace this beast of a G what do you knowledgeable types (mr sherman, drew) suggest?
note: anyone else think it's odd that the G string is the biggest difference between a 10-52 and 11-54 gauge as far as gauge changes go?
10 vs 11
13 vs 15
17 vs 22
30 vs 30
42 vs 42
52 vs 54
simple truss adjustment should do it. my dean v needed a slight adjustment when i went from the stock setup o drop c with 10-60. how much is it bowing?
