I finally got around to intonating one of my guitar I picked up recently and I had a bit of a head scratcher. I had to move the saddles quite a ways before a couple strings would start to intonate properly. Some of them damn near a 1/4" but they werent that far off according to my tuner.
I dont remember that being the case the previous times I had to do it on other guitars. Just wondering if that might be normal. I dont do it very often since I rarely get new guitars so my memory may be fuzzy.
Its sounds fine now and everything is very very close, it was just weird how far I had to move them for how little they were off.
Did you have new strings on there? Old strings can seem to intonate strangely in my experience.
