how about a small c-clamp? That's what i use to get mine in. clamp through the trem route, piece of foam on the back of the guitar with something wood and disc-like to spread the pressure (I use venue drink tokens), and duct tape on the other end as padding, and I slowly screw the clamp shut and press the stud in.

When nothing less than second-best will do.

Sounds like much better idea than the textbook one

I would be alot more angry than you if I paid for something and got something completely different than what I asked for. Either ask for a refund or for him to send you the correct body.

As D. said, there was no cash involved. Gotta get that pickup back though.

Awesome body man, how is it sounding so far?

Joking by the way.

You should be able to borrow a C clamp from someone and apply a good slow pressure, if that doesn't work then there is definitely something wrong with the tolerances.

I've heard some pretty bad stuff about this guy, no idea if it's true, so I hope everything works out with the pickup.

I'm sorry to see this- the kicker is the wood appears to have a bit of a knot in it on the cutaway, so it's not the greatest looking piece, either. :/

The trem studs don't seem like a huge issue - they're designed to be a VERY snug fit. Everything else, though...

Why the fuck is it so hard to get decently priced, decent replacement RG7 bodies on the net?
