Default Finally recieved my body from Chris Woods yesterday...

However there are some things I'm not too happy with...

first off I had to modify my trem to fit in the cavity even though I sent chris the trem so he can get it to fit. Basically the red plastic pieces were in the way so I removed them and the bridge fits in fine now. Studs do not fit in the hole they were also sent with the bridge. I sent a Bare Knuckle Miracle Man as well to make sure the pickup routes were correct but I can't do that since my pickup was not in the box with my trem and body. I also asked for a lion claw on the cavity and I made sure it was on my spec sheet and still did not get what I wanted. I am happy I finally got my body however with the amount of time he had it I'm very upset with fitment of the trem and studs, not getting my pickup plus my order not being completed as I asked. I'll post up a video shortly to give you guys a 3d tour of it. For now enjoy the webcam picture.

Video Posted on page 3 included a view of my LACS.

That is some absolutely awful customer service. I hope you get everything sorted out.

I just sent him an email and here's what I said...

Hi Chris I recieved my body yesterday, thanks for finally getting this out to me however I have some complaints. I sent you a Guitar Pickup that was not in my package so please see if you left it in your shop or elsewhere. I'm not happy about the trem routes, I have to modify the bridge to get it to fit in basically removing the red plastic pieces and the posts were not big enough to fit the studs in I tried hammering it in but now it's stuck and I'm afraid I'll break the body. I sent you the trem to assure that it would be routed perfectly for it to fit in. Also in my spec sheet I indicated that I wanted a Lion Claw and I know it's there cause I checked my list every few days to make sure everything is listed from the emails I sent you. You also didnt make the holes for the cavity covers. Right now I don't want a replacement body cause god knows when you'll get that out to but I would like my pickup to be sent back to me. I'm sending you this email so that hopefully you'll pay more attention to details when completing an order for a customer.

Daniel, the trem studs have to be pressed in, its supposed to be a super tight fit.

I read on project guitar forums that the holes are supposed be slightly smaller and the stud gets glued in. What can I use to press them in so I don't break the guitar?

Try this, get a text book or such, push the insert in as much as you can, then thread a trem stud into it a few turns, put the book on the top of the stud, and using your weight, push it in using the text book.

With all the other issues, I personally wouldn't bother. Take the stud out if you can, get your pickup from Chris, get a refund. Seriously, fuck that guy. The least you can do if you have a 3 year wait list (some people, don't know about your order specifically) is stick to your customer specs and do awesome work. Him keeping a $150+ pickup kind of adds insult to injury.

I wouldn't call not being able to get the trem stud or your trem in minor Also, I'd demand some money back for not getting the lion's claw at the very least. He didn't build what you asked him to, it's that simple

It's not like there's a shortage of people to build RG replacement bodies.
