Well I wasn't sure if this would go in this forum, or another designated for pickup related stuff... but being that we're talking about guitars here, I thought it would be best to post here. Anyways, I've always wanted a Les Paul gold top (with the p90's) but can't afford to pay 30 grand for one 1955 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop Gold Top MAKE AN OFFER!! - eBay (item 300382527343 end time Apr-30-10 13:22:09 PDT)
I don't think I want to spend Gibson money at all for that matter. So, if I bought another guitar, would it be possible to swap the pickups with P90's without routing out the cavities? I'm not sure the demensions, but if anyone had P90 knowledge, i'd like to know. Thanks dudes
BKP makes a normal humbucker sized p90. Duncan makes a humbucker sized pickup that has a single coil and a p90 in it, and you can split them and use them individually or in series.
