So, over the past few weeks, a few little tidbits have been showing up at my place.
First up, a UV777BK.
Needs a good lemon-oiling on the fretboard.
Next, an MXR EVH Phase 90, Signed by the man himself.
Now, to ease my Soloist GAS, a Charvel Model 4. The finish can't really be captured by the camera, it's a purpleish-brown that shifts slightly under the light. Pics are in the middle of me swapping the Jackson Active suite for EMGs. There are two small holes between the Bridge and Bridge pickup, the previous owner (one of them, maybe) installed a MIDI pickup at one point. Holes are kinda ugly, but I don't notice them by looking at it, and the rest of the axe is in phenomenal condition for being nearly 25 years old. And I think, that for the $100 I paid for the guitar, I can live with two small holes on the front of the body.
This serves a double purpose, really. There's a Red one in my basement owned by my other guitarist's brother, but he refuses to sell it to me. Now, I can quit pestering him about it. I LOVE these older Charvels.
I want to do something crafty with the electronics... any ideas?
Old School Charvel FTW.
