    A few reactions:

-Dunno how I feel about the non-angled pickup... but I don't think it'd be as major as many might think.

-Interesting about the Cepheus pickups in EMG housings. From what I've heard, these are actually pretty decent pickups, and offering them separately or in Septors/Interceptors might be a good business move.

-These are surprisingly cheap compared to some of Rondo's more recent 'upmarket' Septor/Interceptor/Intrepid offerings.

-Also, for those who want a project: These are bolt-ons, so you can easily steal the bridge and neck!

the non-angled pickup kinda kills it for me. But if they do a second run with it angled, i am so down.
I play bass in a band called Weaponlord.

I also play bass in a band called Northern Crown.

I used to play bass in a band called Faethom.

For some reason I really like the flat black one. Sleek. I still wish they would actually put jumbo frets on their guitars. For some reason that is such a deal-breaker for me on metal guitars. The straight pickup blows too

I really like the flat black one. but I'm not so sure about the scale lengths.
The omen-7 I had was 26.5" and it was nearly impossible to get a good sound on the low B, but if I lowered it to A it was massive.
It is fairly tempting to buy one just for having an entry lvl fanned fret though.
And I guess it's possible to change the frets to something more likeable. My luthier friend has a fret press and tools for removing the old ones. Hmmm, gameplan set I think. After I pay off my latest purchase...

EDIT: If that was an 8 I'd be all over it.

    That's a really good price for a fanned-fret 7

The wood on the natural one looks like shit

They look alright, I guess, but the straight pickup also pretty much blows.

    That's a killer price.

I'm a little troubled by their recent trend towards putting passive pickups in EMG-sized housings and cavities. I'm hoping that's a trend that will be reversed.

The non-angled pickup is a little sucky, but this is the first run, so likely Kurt is seeing how these sell before he invests more in having a more oddball custom pickup made.

But those look seriously amazing for the money.

A slanted EMG808 (which he's already buying) would have gotten the job done. I'm no fan of EMG's, but I'd rather have an EMG route (which is common on slanted pickups anyways) than a straight pickup. This guitar has both
