NGD -- ESP Viper 7 Technical House Japan (2.61mb)

Got this a while ago, but it had a crack in the fretboard. I got it repaired but didn't have time until now to set it up and take pictures. I have Analytical Chemistry, Physics II, Biochemistry, and a general all at the same time. Today I got a break though so I threw a nailbomb 7 in the bridge and took some pictures.

It's definitely a keeper, not sure how I like the nailbomb yet, but it sounds pretty good I think. It's not as big of a difference from the JB as I was expecting. I still have to set the pickup height and adjust the truss rod/action a bit though.

Anyway... maple neck, mahogany body, ebony fretboard, 27.5" scale, and 22 frets. It looks like a neck thru but it's actually a set neck with a really carved heel. Sounds warm as hell considering the scale and everything.

Anyway there are some pics including one of me looking stoned.

Nice guitar! I don't like SGs, but that's a purty guitar none the less.

I also wasn't a fan of Nailbombs in my Dean.

I'm not a big fan of that body shape, but that color is freakin' awesome.

Yeah the color is great, way more fruity than my usual black .

I think what I'm not liking about the nailbombs is they lack some balls in the bass department. I like to hear a little more "thunk" when I hit a note. But I'll let them settle in maybe try some more amps and different pickup heights.

i remember when you first posted this guitar... nice to see you got the fretboard crack fixed .

as far as the Nailbomb goes, it's definitely the most tempermental BKP i've tried. it's super sensitive to height adjustments and pick attack. overall it's a good sounding pickup and covers alot of ground, but the Emeralds and Warpigs are where it's at for me.

with the nailbomb, dont bring up the bass side of the pickup, but raise the poles a bit on that side. works wonders
