    Which 7's could fit me.

So, I currently own a K-7 and I want to buy another 7,
    a higher end one.

Basiclly the specs that are a must for me are:
    - 7 string.
    - Mahagony body.
    - Flamed maple top.
    - Satin finished neck.

A tremolo system could be nice too but it's not a must.
I'm willing to spend around 2K.

Any ideas? Something I may didnt think about?

What options have you already thinked about?

Production or custom? Carvin, KxK, Schecter japan?

A used J-custom (if you're an Ibby fan) 8527 would fit the bill nicely.

You could try importing one of the Schecters from Japan - they're basically Tom Andersons in spec, but a bit cheaper. Not 100% sure about the mahogany bit, but otherwise.

Barring that, there's really not much out there in your price range. Or even anywhere, production - you're probably looking custom.

KxK, could be nice but charges way more than what I can afford to spend.
Tried carvin and hated the neck, wasnt impressed from overall quality actually.
The japanese schecters I've see werent from mahagony, I could check again.
The S7420FMTT is quiet a nice guitar but I dont think it will be any improvment from my K-7.

The J Custom option was always something I thought about but I've heard froim many people that tonally they're not much of an upgrade from a K-7, neither playability according to what I've heard(never played one).

I know I'm picky, but thats why I asked your help, couldnt really find anything by now.

Those Japanese TA-like Schecters are Ash. Not that that's a bad thing.

Whoa! That actually looks pretty sweet. I've never seen or heard of these Schecters.
