So, it's almost a month past its primary completion, but the idea of me actually taking photographs of it might signify something. What this is, I'm not even sure...
Start with the basics:
Might Mite neck acquired from Ebay. Sorta birdseye-ish maple, abalone dots, 12"-16" compound radius ebony fretboard. Being an MM neck, it took a lot of work cleaning up the fret ends. True Bolt-on function. Instead of wood screws, which I've seen as a bad idea going through birdsye, i used brass threaded inserts in the neck and stainless steel machine screws to attach it to the body.
Ash body acquired from Ebay, made by this guy HEAD GUITARS - Custom made basses and guitars. Routed for 2 Humbuckers and a top mount floyd. Totally random find. At the time I purchased it, I noticed he had a few san dimas style tele bodies too. Looks like I might be building one of those for a friend.
Gotoh Floyd (love it, btw)
Tremolno, because i'm not really a lead player, just wanted to build a guitar with a trem.
GFS Welcome to Guitarfetish locking tuners. I was trying to maintain a classic look but still use locking tuner since I wanted to avoid using the locking nut (hate the tone of them).
GFS Classic II Alnico 2 Neck Pickup
SD P-Rails Bridge pickup (3 way wired for, Rail, Humbucker, and P90 modes)
Master volume and tone controls Guitar Electronics CTS 500K Audio Taper Guitar Pot Guitar Parts and Diagrams
3 way pickup toggle
I like the finish on that
