What are the necks on these like?

Agile Interceptor Pro 727 MN Black Flame DOT at RondoMusic.com

Helping a buddy pick out his first 7, he is in love with my RG1527m but is looking for a better value (i dont blame him) haha.

Are the necks on these anything like the 1527, or closer to Schecter profile (that i hate)?

EDIT: Also if the are more "C" shaped and large, would it be possible to sand it down to a more D shape Ibanez profile? (possible for some one with limited experience doing such things) LOL

I don't really know anything about them, but man, that doesn't look bad at all for the price.

I am actually borrowing one of those right now. And yes, the neck is kinda Schecter like. I really don't care for the guitar too much. Then again, this one is 27" set up in G with uber high action (filling in for a buddy of mine).

Never had an interceptor, but I owned 3 agile 7s. Custom Hornet, Custom Reaper, and a Texan. The Reaper and Hornet reminded me of a Schecter shaped neck, but were not quite as thick as the C7 I also previously owned. It wasn't super thin, but it was comfy and easy to get along with. I noticed the bolt on Reaper w/ solid maple neck sounded twice as good as my 5 piece neckthru hornet for some reason, even with the Reaper having a stock pickup and Hornet having a Q tuner. Fit and finish of all were overall 8/10 accept for the Texan was a 10, no funky finish issues anywhere to be seen.

The reaper had a bad defect thanks to UPS and was sent back. The paint chipped off the top wing and how it chipped would have continued chipping all of the paint off.

Hornet had to very thin natural lines on the V points. The neckthru hornet was also gloss neckthru with satin neck, which they did a Very good job taping off.

Would I buy an agile again? Yes, I liked all three of my Agiles, but all of them needed a bit of TLC mainly in the electronics department to get up to par.

I had the original originalist 7 string they made (Very first run), dunno if they changed it. If you've ever played a Washburn WG587, it was exactly like that. They might be different now, though. In fact, they probably are.
I play bass in a band called Weaponlord.

I also play bass in a band called Northern Crown.

I used to play bass in a band called Faethom.

it's basically completely middle of the road in every measurement. It's a very even C profile. Not as round as a schecter, but not a flat D like an Ibanez. It's thicker than an Ibanez, but not as thick as a schecter. To me, it's just about ideal and very comfortable.
