This time, with pics!
It's dark out, and my house is dark, so it's impossible to get decent pics of this thing. These do it no justice - anything that looks like a scratch or an odd swirl is a reflection of things like ceiling fans and camera straps. I'll try and get a couple outdoor pics tomorrow that don't suck.
Mahogany body and neck, 25" scale, markerless ebony board, 12" radius, Sperzel satin locking tuners, Schaller chrome strap locks, ivory Graphtech nut, stainless med-jumbo frets, two volume/two tone w/push-pull coil splitters and satin finish on the back of the neck. Weighs 8.25lbs.
Since it's impossible to get a decent full body shot of it, here it is from Carvin:
And here it is on the same old blanket that I use for things like taking pictures, a drop cloth, and just about everything but sleeping on.
Ceiling fan reflection:
The thing plays, and sounds fucking MONSTROUS. Carvin's setup was fantastic, intonation is spot on everywhere. The action is pretty low, and there is zero buzz. It's strung up 10-46 with Carvin's strings on it, and I'll probably end up bumping it up to 11-49 when they need a change. The stock pickups sound surprisingly good, and the thing just rips at high volume.
Carvin does do a good job on setups and those set neck ones look sweet.
