So I sent Matt from Matt's Music an email to try to get some info on the Suhr 7 strings, since they are seriously rousing my interest.
They come standard with a Floyd rose, and from what Matt recalls, they are now taking orders with passive pickups, so you don't have to have EMGs.
"The only neck available on Suhr's 7 string is a Modern Elliptical .780-.850 with a 11-16" compound radius fretboard"
I like the neck thickness, but not a big fan of the fretboard radius. I would prefer 16" or 20" non-compound, but maybe that will be a choice in the future.
Furthermore, it appears that all woods available on the 6'ers can be ordered for the 7's.
The starting price is $2499, which is totally reasonable, however, it can go way up from there.
I know a few people were interested in these, so I thought I would share what I learned.
And because Andy Wood rules:

My only complaint is with the cluttered EMG midrange. With real pickups, that would sound devastatingly awesome. We played with The Absence on Saturday, and their guitarist had a pair of Suhrs he was running into CAA amps. He sounded fucking amazing.
